The light that guides our path

We knew Javed’s Ammi was unwell and were all praying for her.

Our group of friends is in the early 50’s now. We met in 7th Grade back in Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Happy Valley, Shillong and were together through High School.

Poor Air Quality and Ayurveda

A pandemic, global warming, forest fire season and our hearts go out to the people who are impacted in California, Oregon, Washington and other states.

I would recommend keeping emergency kits and supplies for 3 days ready if one needs to evacuate (here’s a detailed plan https://www.ready.gov/wildfires) and have a family meeting so that everyone is on the same page.

1. Prevention

a. Stay indoors and keep your doors and windows closed.

b. Close fireplace dampers and turn off continuous ventilation systems.

c. Reduce outdoor activity…

d. Wear masks

e. Get a HEPA filter or air purifier and turn the AC in your car to recirculate.

f. Focus on keeping your immunity…

Covid-19 #CoronaVirus and I’m transported…to my childhood in India.

10/18 update: 8 million cases and 200,000 plus deaths later in the US, I realize how wrong my projection was, how political this pandemic became, how unscientifc and how tragic…but will retain it for posterity.

March 7th

I’m transported home…to my…
